Betty Kayitesi was born in Uganda and grew up in Kampala. In the early 90's she emigrated to Sweden, after completing her A-level she studied macro-economics at the Stockholm University. She also worked as an interpreter and a sales consultant during this time before moving to Munich (Germany) in 2003. She is fluent in 6 languages (English, German, Swedish, Kinyarwanda, Luganda and Swahili). In 2007 she emigrated with her family to Nashville (Tennessee), where she now works in the tourism industry for the only five star hotel in Tennessee.

She works as interpreter for "Mboni Universal Services for Tourism Ltd." und Safari-in-Uganda.com, is running the marketing and is contact person for the US market.
